Side One (The Velvet Teen)

01.  Code Red

"Code Red!" she screamed,
as the gun fell from her hand,
"I don't deserve this.
Go away, let me be by myself for awhile.
What have I done? I'm so lonely."

She rages in an unpadded room for the thrill.
"I hate you! Get the hell out!
I didn't mean that.
I love you, stay for awhile.
Do you forgive me?
Fuck you! (cover it up)
I didn't mean that.
I'm sorry, I go crazy sometimes.
I love you so much.
I hate you! (cover it up)
I didn't mean that.
I don't know why you put up with me.
Get out of my life."

Code Red: two words
that sum up our lives sometimes
A panicked sense we all know.
No one takes the blame.
No one deserves the blame.
It's just something that happens.

02.  Go! (written by Daniel Ash, Glenn Campling, and Kevin Haskins)

Living it up:  it's a big kick, it's good for you.
Watch the big freeze slip, crack the jackpot, get out of control.
If you put yourself down, you'll never win: get out of that hole.
Keep your mind open, your head up, you'll never, ever get old.

Go!

You whole world could change if only you just broke through.
Cos the fears inside your head,
'cos you fears are doing nothing for you.
Keep your head up, your mind open,
you'll always, always come through.

'Cos living it up, it's a big deal, it's good for you.
Swap your dull grey thoughts for fierce demands you can stand up to.
Don't put yourself down, you'll never win, so let's all smash through.
Through the fear of being real, through the fear of really being you.

'Cos living it up, it's a big deal, it's good for you.
Living it up, it's a big kick, it's good for you.

Side Two (Sin in Space)

01.  Extraterrestrial

Painting by numbers, as we've always done and will forever.
Color the targets of the bully guns, their children - monsters.

I feel extra terrestrial and it feels good.
I don't want to be from here, I don't want to be from here.

Faces the states, with the look on his face of frightened reptiles.
Cut off its head and two grow in its place - agendas and smiles.
It was the smell of oak wood.
Fine license.
Artistic lines.
I would like to believe I have a kind and forgiving heart - like a nurse.

02.  Do You Love Me Now? (written by Kim Deal and Kelley Deal)

If I saw you now could I look into your eyes?
Do you think of me like I dream of you?
Do you wish you were here like I wish I was with you?
You've loved me before - do you love me now?

Does love ever end when two hearts have torn away?
Or does it go on and beat strong anyway?
You've loved me before - do you love me now?

Come back to me right now!
Come on, come on, come on!
You've loved me before - do you love me now?
